Becker Lavender

The Lavender Fields at Becker Vineyards are 3 estate acres just off the winery Verandah. One of Richard and Bunny’s many trips to Provence, France influenced the lavender fields inception.

“It was beautiful to see the lavender fields in France. The scent of lavender was everywhere and the color was extraordinary,” Richard Becker said. In June of 1998, the Beckers planted the 10,000 lavender plants. The varieties include Lavandula x intermedia grosso, Lavandula x intermedia provence, lavandula angustifolia, and Lavandula stoechas. The blooming season for the lavender is typically in April to May but varies with the notorious Texas weather. The plants can be viewed year round, and guests are encouraged to experience the field with a relaxing stroll and as a memorable photo op. The field provides the core extract for all of Becker Vineyards Lavender products.
