Cabernet Sauvignon grapes sourced from Jet and Gay Wilmeth's Diamante Doble Vineyards are a grand example of Texas Cabernet Sauvignon. A season of warm growing days and cool nights set the stage for a warm fermentation ending with two years of aging in both new and neutral French and American oak barrels. The West Texas red soil terroir is expressed as a dry, earthy, and spicy wine accompanying graphite and florals. Fruit notes of dried currant and fig lead the way for mild green peppers. The finish lingers of woody notes and dried red fruits.
