The 2017 Tempranillo is a blend of four Texas High Plains Tempranillo vineyards with the addition of a new-to-Becker Touriga Nacional from Six Harts Vineyards, also of the Texas High Plains AVA.
Tempranillo is a balanced wine with layers of fruit and tannin, allowing varietal expression. Upon decanting, you are greeted by a deep floral nose and dried cherries, followed by dark notes of earth and tobacco, developing into aromas of cooking spices and red fruits. Flavors of black pepper, mild smoke, unfolds displaying intriguing notes of red fruit and herbs.
