Grenache Reserve Tallent Vineyard 2016

A traditional Old World Grenache from the Tallent Vineyard in Mason County, TX. The grape's fame is by virtue, a dominant varietal in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Priorat, grown in the South of France. Its penchant for warm, windy growing areas allows Texas to produce this medium-bodied red wine, full of rich cooked fruit flavors and dried herbs, with hints of the limestone on which it's grown.
Aromatics: Opens with a savory, smoky nose, stewed strawberries and freshly dried Herbs de Provence. Decanting reveals warm cinnamon and brown sugar notes
On the Palate: Minerally, bright acidity, berry compote, slightly chalky soft mouth feel, medium tannins
Serve 60-68°F
Decant 20-30 minutes
Enjoy now, Cellar 5-7 years

It’s been quite a while since Becker has offered Grenache it was worth the wait!

This is my go to wine, it pairs perfectly with just about anything and if you want to make a beef stew, a cup of Grenache makes some of the best! Then you get to enjoy the rest of the bottle with it.
