Grenache Reserve 2016
A traditional Old World Grenache from the Tallent Vineyard in Mason County, TX. The grape's fame is by virtue, a dominant varietal in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Priorat, grown in the South of France. It's penchant for warm, windy growing areas allows Texas to produce this medium-bodied red wine, full of rich cooked fruit flavors and dried herbs, with hints of the limestone on which its grown.
Aromatics: opens with a savory, smoky nose, stewed strawberries, freshly dried Herbs de Provence, further decanting reveals warm cinnamon and brown sugar notes
On the Palate: mineraly, bright acidity, berry compote, slightly chalky, soft mouth feel, medium tannins
Decant 20-30 minutes
