Dolcetto Reserve 2017
Dolcetto, "little sweet one", presents as a medium-bodied, highly aromatic, lush wine. Originally grown in the rolling hills of Piedmont, it now hails from sandy red soil illuminative of the Texas High Plains and Jet Wilmeth's Diamante Doble Vineyards, Tokio TX. Stewed red fruits, bright acidity and smoky notes dominate upon opening, later revealing bright fruits, tea, and light hay.
The light tannins and resplendent fruit pair delightfully with cured pork and marinara.
Aromatics: Ripe strawberries, sweet plums, tea, deep violets, light tannins, bright acidity
On the Palate: Raspberries, strawberries, freshly brewed tea, with a pleasing note of smoked fruits

Purchased a bottle of this wonderful wine after a tasting while visiting your beautiful Winery & Lavender festival over the weekend - from the swirl in the glass, to the wonderful scent & finally the smooth taste - this wine is a favorite! Definitely deserves more than 5 stars.

Recently moved into a new home and organizing my wine collection. Decided to pop this bottle open out of curiosity and wow. It was a real treat! I ordered five more bottles the next day! Great job Becker! I’ll be back for more great wine.

What I love about this wine is that it is drinkable anytime. As a drink while reading a book or with a meal. It is equally at home in any setting.

So excited to be a Becker Wine Club member!! We did a wine tasting in February with friends and this is one of the wines we tasted. Got one in club shipment served today with sautéed veggies ( squash, zucchini, peppers, onions), and roasted pork loin. It was absolutely delicious. The wine held it's own! Heading to Fredericksburg soon, will definitely buy more ore this one.

As I noted in my previous review (Apr 2020) your Dolcetto Reserve is a wonderful "drinkable" wine. I use the term "drinkable" to mean - you can enjoy a glass while reading a book or while you are eating a fine meal. A rare quality in a wine so affordable.
