Our 2017 Cinsaut is offered as part of our rare wines series to introduce you to wines that are not normally found as a single varietal bottling.
With ripe red fruit notes and minimal tannins, it is a prominent grape of the Rhône region and Provençal rosés. The 2017 vintage is from the Tallent Vineyards of Mason County, TX. Our single varietal bottling presents a soft light-bodied wine abundant with floral and fresh fruits. The light-bodied nature of Cinsaut demands gentle handling and moderately warm fermentation to retain its bright characteristics.
The final product is a perfumed wine full of bright red berries, pomegranates, peaches, and herbal overtones.
Aromatics: Dried cranberry, red berries, violets and tea
On the Palate: Raspberry and strawberry, med/med high acidity, light tannins finishing with mild graphite.
