Malbec 2018

This is a wine with many layers and nuances. Comprised of Malbec from several Texas growers across the state, with just 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot, it is soft on the palate with medium tannins, medium acidity, exemplifying what Malbec from Texas should be. It is a fuller bodied Malbec, aged in 30% new French and American oak for 20 months before bottling. Silky and plush, aromatics of slate and caramel, heady violets and ripe black cherries greet you. At first sip, the lively red fruits of pomegranate, red plums, ripe black cherries lead to sour cherries on the smooth finish.
