Tempranillo 2019

The 2019 Tempranillo boasts Tempranillo fruit grown predominantly in the High Desert Plains of West Texas, with a touch of Tallent Vineyard's Hill Country grapes and is elegantly paired with a 15% blend of Grenache and Zinfandel. This expressive wine opens with a deep garnet-colored hue, abundant acidity and supple tannins due to a relatively cool growing season. As with a Spanish vin joven, minimal oak aging allows lively fruits with mineral undertones to shine, a graceful mouthfeel with lingering notes of slate and mild Cherrywood. This vintage was made to be enjoyed now.
Aromatics: Violets, sweet cherries and ripe plums
On the Palate: Dried fig, cooked sweet cherries, dry earthiness typical of West Texas, slate with a hint of dill on the finish
